Fibromyalgia Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment
Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a group of symptoms. These symptoms are abdominal pain, alteration of bowel habit and change of bowel form. These symptoms differ and there are times when they are really severe and times of remission when the symptoms completely disappear or are more manageable. Swelling is a common symptom of irritable bowel syndrome and IBS victims tend to wear loose clothing to compensate. Echoing tummy and wind are also features of irritable bowel syndrome. Some IBS sufferers feel they are passing more wind than usual. The fact is than the standard person passes wind 17 times a day. The dissimilarity is that they do not notice it while irritable bowel syndrome sufferers do. Importance and incontinence are symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.
Other causes: Other symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome are a sensation of incomplete emptying of the bowel, low rectal pain and nausea and vomiting. Whatever one puts in the mouth has to be broken down and processed by a remarkable and complex digestive system. If what one eats is beneficial the system works easily. But if it is not then it may become toxic, imbalanced or in too large a quantity, the digestive system's defense mechanism will then go into action. Mainly, when offensive foods or substances pass through the stomach and enter the small intestine they will excitement or putrefy. This fermentation and putrefaction in turn creates an abnormal chemistry that produces products that irritate the delicate lining of the bowel. The bowel then tries to either rapidly eject the irritating substances that results in diarrhea or it puts a spastic clamp on the intestines which stops the process and results in constipation. Work of intestine: The small intestine is trying to stop the absorption of unnatural and harmful food elements into the system. Thus making it the first line of defense. If harmful elements are constantly absorbed over a period of time the weak intestinal lining first becomes inflamed and is then slowly destroyed. It is at this point that toxic elements begin to overwhelm this line of defense and enter directly into the blood stream. So when indigestion, gas, bloating, diarrhea or constipation occurs it is easy to lament the fact that one does not have a cast iron stomach. |
